How do I track my order?

Once your order is dispatched (usually 1-3 biz days after purchase) you will receive an email to say your order is on it’s way. This email contains a tracking link to allow you to track your order. If you have any trouble tracking your order or you did not receive an email please contact us and we will get right on it!

How do you process payments? Can I pay with Paypal?

You can pay with a credit/debit card using our Shopify Payments secure gateway, Paypal

Do you offer a warranty?

We sure do! We offer a ‘common sense’ lifetime warranty on all of our products. Our lifetime common sense warranty covers your strap from issues with the workmanship under normal use conditions. So basically if you are using it as a camera strap and it’s not holding up we will fix or replace it, if you are using it to tow your friends broken down car home then we may not…

This warranty does not specifically cover any equipment the camera was carrying or normal ageing and wearing of leather.

Please inspect your camera straps regularly, especially where it connects to the camera. Some small wear marks may appear on the webbing after a lot of use, this is normal. However, if you think the webbing may be compromised please contact us asap.

How do I return a strap for an exchange or refund?

We offer change of mind refunds on any product that hasn’t been personalised within 30 days of receiving your strap. We don’t charge a restocking fee but you will be responsible for the cost of shipping the strap back to us.

If you choose to exchange your strap we will cover the postage cost of sending out the new strap to you after your returned strap has safely arrived back to us.

We offer a lifetime guarantee on the workmanship of our straps, if there is anything at all wrong with your strap please contact us straight away!

If you are unhappy with the product for any reason or have changed your mind please email me at compassandaperture@gmail.com to exchange or return the item.

The strap I want is out of stock, when will it be available again?

Unfortunately from time to time, we run out of certain strap sizes and colours. Everything is made here in Bendigo (Australia) but we do produce things in small runs rather than one strap at a time. This means that generally, straps that are out of stock should be back in 1-3 weeks although it could be a little longer if we are waiting on leather from our suppliers.

You can sign up for ‘Back in Stock’ notifications on the product page for the strap you are interested in. This way you will get an email as soon as they are back in stock and you won’t miss out!

If you need a strap by a certain date please get in touch with us and we will let you know if we will have them done in time.

Where are your camera straps made?

Almost every product on our website is made in our hometown of Healesville in Australia. Healesville is about an hour out of Melbourne in the state of Victoria
