I’m Kari, known for drinking my weight in coffee on the daily and never leaving the house without my camera strap on.
Compass and Aperture is the love child of my passion for photography and desire to create art that is honest, authentic and candid.
When I’m not bingeing corny movies, overdosing on caffeine and hustling hard to create a successful business, you will find me table top dancing at your reception, chasing your tiny humans through paddocks, or sitting up until 2am creating precious memories for you to treasure for the rest of your lives.
I will go the extra mile to get the perfect shot, so if you’re ready to have your heart captured and your soul set on fire, I’m your girl.

My drive to always achieve more in life and photography is fuelled by my love for my cheeky little autistic boy, Chase. He helps me see the world in new ways, inspiring me to keep it real, look outside of the box and let my creative side have free reign.
My passion for photography lies in capturing raw and authentic moments that are otherwise soon forgotten.
Clothing is optional. I’m all about capturing the magic in the moment and am not afraid to push the boundaries to do so.

Beautiful sunsets, roaming kangaroos, spectacular sunsets were the backdrop to our family shoot. Our son was comfortable with her from the moment we arrived and that meant the natural photos of our little family unit have been captured and forever will melt my heart. Kari is also so easy to get along with and for my husband who always feels so awkward in front of the camera, he felt at ease with her. The turn around for photos was fantastic, the gallery set-up was great, ordering was easy and the sheer number of good photos made it incredibly hard to pick which to put in a frame. It was totally worth getting the photos printed through her as well as the quality was way better than what I'd get anywhere else. Which to me is important if I'm wanting quality pics I also need quality prints! Would highly recommend Kari, we will book again!”
